Welcome back, Barnard students!
The suffocating humidity of summer is almost over, and the school year is well underway. Shopping is complete, dorms are mostly decorated, and club sessions have begun!
Like numerous other campus groups, Barnard Bite (formerly known as The Nine Ways of Knowing Blog) has returned with a new plan for a new year. This year, we are in the process of re-branding from our old name and revitalizing the club with fresh points of view, so it’s the perfect time to jump in and get involved!
So, why did you change your name?
This year, Barnard moved away from the Nine Ways of Knowing core curriculum. Instead of changing our name to Foundations (to match Barnard’s current core) we decided to choose our name independently.
Will there be changes in content?
A little! We remain dedicated to giving Barnard students a space to have their voices heard. We publish blogs on just about anything: current issues, campus life, media reviews, and opinion pieces on, well, anything!
This year, however, Barnard Bite is adding a features section to showcase the talents of Barnard students. We are accepting visual art, video, audio, and written submissions of all kinds. Even if you don’t consider yourself a journalist or a blog writer, there is a place for your work at Barnard Bite!
How do I get involved?
Come to our general interest meeting, of course! We have our first general interest
meeting of the year on Sunday September 25th at 8:00pm in DIANA, room 501! We are looking for E-board members as well as writers. If you are interested in either of these opportunities, come to the meeting.
There will, of course, be food.
If you are a reader, we look forward to your comments and engagement and thank you for your continued support.
