The Nine Ways of Knowing has decided to profile some of the amazing women of the class of 2015, and we’re so sad to see them leave! If you’d like to be featured on the blog or know someone who should definitely be profiled, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What are You Involved In?
I’ve dabbled in a lot of things over my four years (story of my life) but overall, I was on NSOP committee, NSOP OL, CU Dems (I’ve been stopped in Mortan Williams one too many times to be asked if I’m that “Dems Girl”), Barnard Bartending, and “the girl who sits in Rosencrans.”
A tie between the Barefoot Contessa and chocolate covered gummy bears.
Favorite Memory from Barnard?
A solid tie between the history of Columbia and Slavery seminar with Professor Eric Foner (please, if you are here next year, take The Radical Tradition. It’s his last class and the man is seriously mind-blowing) and staying on a mattress for 3 days in my friend’s suite in 600 when Hurricane Sandy came during my sophomore year. Shoutout to 6F who put up with me running to Morton Williams in the middle of the storm because I was “craving broccoli.”
Biggest Regret of College?
I want to say I live life with no regrets, but we are not perfect. I wish I read all of the readings. I wish I had done AllSex. I wish I would have explored more clubs or joined a theater production. I wish I would have explored the city or joined NSOP sooner. But they also say to embrace your imperfections, so I am going to do that.
Biggest Leap of Faith During College?
Creating my own major. Shoutout to Dean Friedman who made the whole process a whole lot less painful and putting up with me when I petitioned the CPAS every single semester.
What Will You Miss?
Seeing my best friends and amazing, inspiring people every single day. Also, that granola in Ferris. *insert heart eyes emoji*
What Won’t You Miss?
Working on a single problem set for 12 hours.
Favorite Place On or Off Campus?
On: the Mudd Roof.
Off: Washington Square Park (people watching there is beautiful)
In 5 Words or Less, What’s Next?
Some research stuff and this
Midnight Breakfast or Orgo Night?
Why choose one when you can have both?!
If you were a Morningside Heights Bar or Restaurant Which Would You Be?
Taqueria y Fonda. And I like it spicy 😉
