What are You Involved In?
Philolexian Society, Kayaking Club, WBAR, and I give tours/work off campus. ❤

Guilty Pleasure?
I’m in a place in my life where I don’t feel guilty about anything I enjoy anymore. It’s a good place to be.

Favorite Memory from Barnard?
I could not even begin to pick one. I remember sitting in my room during NSOP while a girl who would later become one of my closest friends asked me to tell her my life story. I remember going to the top of the Empire State Building at one in the morning with another friend. It was snowing, and we took pictures without our coats on, because we figured it would be the least cliché picture we could take at the top of the Empire State Building. I remember hosting multiple fundraisers in my suite to raise money for abortion funds around the country. I remember countless Broadway shows, late-night talks, intricate discussions of the Harry Potter Universe, and debates over Diana pizza. There have been so many memories and moments at Barnard that have been so wonderful, and I would hate to make the other memories feel bad by playing favorites!

Biggest Regret of College?
Much like guilty pleasures, I try not to have regrets. There are things that I maybe would do differently if I could go back (do the Athena program, be more open with people, date more [lol]) but everything I did made me the person that I am today, so I’m totally ok with all of my choices, because I like who I am now. Oh wait, you know what, I ate fried fish in Hewitt when there was a Nacho Bar, so that.

Biggest Leap of Faith During College?
After completing the language requirement with some Spanish classes, I decided in my sophomore year to start taking another language for absolutely no reason. I signed up for an introductory Arabic class, despite the fact that I had no experience with the language, was not studying the Middle East, and did not need the credits. The class was, predictably, incredibly difficult. I spent hours on the homework, I cried from stress on occasion, and I felt like I was making very little progress. But I met amazing friends, learned some valuable lessons in perseverance, and began to enjoy the language. And once I studied abroad in Morocco (yes, you can study abroad as an American history major!) I saw the progress I had made, and got to watch my hard work pay off. Studying abroad was one of the most rewarding things I did while at Barnard, and I never would have done it if I hadn’t taken Arabic.

What Will You Miss?
Living in such close proximity to all the amazing friends I’ve made here.

What Won’t You Miss?
Student Loans. Oh wait, they’ll follow me for the next ten years!

Favorite Place On or Off Campus?
Liz’s Place, with their friendly staff and classic rock playlist.

In 5 Words or Less, What’s Next?
Becoming real-life Leslie Knope

Midnight Breakfast or Orgo Night?
Midnight breakfast because my boss from Financial Aid serves pancakes, and I think that’s awesome.

If you were a Morningside Heights Bar or Restaurant Which Would You Be?
Absolute Bagels. I’m so awesome that even when people find out there are rats in the kitchen, there’s still a line out the door.

Who Will Play You in a Biopic of Your Life?
Amy Poehler, obviously.
