Favorite Memory from Barnard?
Interacting with global women leaders and going abroad to Paris with 3 other student fellows, Dean Young, and Professor Gundogdu for the 7th annual Global Symposium. It was definitely the pinnacle of my Barnard experience as everything that I’ve ever learned at Barnard came together on this trip. It was especially rewarding to see the city through an academic lens and have intellectually stimulating discussions with the other amazing student fellows. Perhaps what made the Global Symposium unique was that it brought together students from various academic disciplines and allowed us to have thought-provoking conversations about topics like globalization, women & leadership, and urban planning.
Biggest Regret of College?
No regrets! It’s important to take risks and discover uncharted territory.
Biggest Leap of Faith During College?
1. Coming across the country from SF to attend Barnard while most of my friends stay put in California. Best decision that I’ve ever made in my life and haven’t really gone home since I came here. I learned to be “comfortable with the uncomfortable,” as one of my greatest friends puts it, and take advantage of the opportunities that Barnard/Columbia/NYC offered.
2. Pursuing sciences/premed and broadcast journalism.
