|Later, Barnard! (jk, <3s!!)|
Name: Andrea Roberts
Hometown: Edison, NJ
What are you involved in? King’s Crown Shakespeare Troupe (Producer/Production Princess), random theater endeavors, and if you’ve taken a biology class I’ve probably been your TA at some point!
Guilty pleasure? Hamdel grilled cheese and an unhealthy addiction to SMASH.
Favorite memory from Barnard?
Where do I even start? KCST spring shows. Organic Chemistry with the Queen of Sass/Queen of Everything, Dina Merrer. Late nights and infinite heart to hearts with Hartley 2A and associates. It’s been so real, Barnard.
Biggest regret of college?
Worrying too much about grades. Honestly, grades work out. The curve, although mysterious, can be merciful. Don’t let your anxiety over the orgo test keep you from spending time with your friends. You aren’t going to remember the late nights you spent studying, but you WILL remember going to 1020 on Wednesday with KCST and late nights with your best friends!
Biggest leap of faith during college?
I woke up one day and just decided to be a biology major. Out of nowhere. I hadn’t taken a science class in awhile and just kind of went for it. I had no idea what I was getting into. LUCKILY, things worked out really well and I fell into a pretty solid love affair with organic chemistry. I kind of went into these classes on a whim, but I really loved my major. I feel like I owe a lot to the biology and chemistry departments for pushing me and making me a better student and harder worker.
What will you miss? KCST (and spring show), more than anything. Theater proms. Sitting on the steps during a sunny day. Diana flat bread pizza. Being in proximity to Chipotle. Midnight Breakfast and Spirit Days. Most importantly, having all of my friends nearby.
What won’t you miss? Homework, duh.
Favorite place on or off campus
In a shoutout to the editor-in-chief (and my Genetics co-TA) Olivia Goldman, the twelfth floor of Altschul. Even though it’s a terrifying building, we have seen some really beautiful sunsets and taken some really serious power naps on this floor.
In 5 words or less, what’s next? Working for a bit and then *~*medical school*~*
Midnight breakfast or Orgo Night? Midnight breakfast every single time! I would choose school endorsed stress-eating over anything!!!
Who will play you in the biopic of your life? generic ginger actress
